EFCC acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu, says he deserves praise and not condemnation for spending N24 billion in the newly constructed headquarters of the antigraft agency.
Speaking when he took journalists around the 10-floor building today, Magu said N24 billion is a modest amount for a building that should have cost the agency N100 billion to construct.
Replying his critics, Magu according to premiuntimes, said
“You are not being fair. If you go and bring any valuer, they will value it for not less than N100 billion.”
The building is expected to be commissioned by President Buhari on Tuesday May 15th.
Prior to the construction of this new building, the agency has been operating in rented apartments.
