The Nigerian Army has arrested five persons for setting a Fulani community, Dakali, ablaze in Adamawa, two days after suspected herdsmen attacked Dowayan village in Demsa Local Government Area of the state.
Suspected herdsmen attacked their community on Saturday June 23rd and killed 18 persons as well as destroyed properties during the attack.
The five suspects reportedly attacked the Fulani settlement as reprisal for the attack on their community. The suspects were arrested while carrying out the attack.

Items recovered from them include one local pistol, a knife, four mobile phones, one empty 10-litre jerrican and many others.
After arresting the suspects, the troops handed them to the Adamawa State Police Command for further investigation.
