Former Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane, has revealed one thing that made him ‘succeed’ at Santiago Bernabeu.
Zidane, who is Madrid’s most successful manager in recent history, spent three years with the Los Blancos.
The Frenchman won an unprecedented treble of UEFA Champions League titles.
He also inspired Real to victory in La Liga in the 2016/17 campaign; only their second league title since 2008.
Speaking on his achievement at Bernabeu, Zidane, in an interview with UEFA’s official website, disclosed that one thing that made him succeed at Madrid was ‘winning’.
“I have always prepared for all matches with the same level of application,” Zidane said.
“In any event, when you’re coaching Real Madrid, you have to win everything, while maintaining a certain standard of play – that’s my philosophy.”
He added: “When you’re working with talented and experienced players, the most important thing is to keep them calm.
“That’s what I needed when I was a player, so that’s the approach that I try to adopt.”
