3. Do not add too many toppings.
Plain yogurt is just that, plain, so people will go to all lengths to make it more palatable. While they are doing that, they might forget about their initial goal of eating yogurt, which is often to lose weight. So if you are trying to lose weight and not gain it, go for unsweetened yogurt (or Greek yogurt) and some fruit to make it sweeter, as well as cereal and nuts to add texture, but keep your portions moderate. Moreover, stay away from artificial sweeteners and candy toppings.
