When speaking about veterans in the Nigerian music industry, 2Baba’s name will not be forgotten. The music legend has become a force to be reckoned with worldwide and has built a name for himself.
Born Innocent Ujah Idibia on September 18, 1975, 2Baba is identified as the most decorated bankable and successful Afro pop artists in Africa. He attended Mount Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School in Makurdi, Benue state. He enrolled at Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu (IMT), where he did his preliminary national diploma course in business administration and management.
The singer began organising shows and eventually dropped out of school in order to pursue his music career. In 1996, he formed a stage name 2Face (Tuface) which he cited as trying to demarcate his personal life from his business life. And in 2016, he changed his stage name to 2Baba.

He soon moved to Lagos where he met with rapper Blackface and Faze and together they formed a group called, Plantashun Boiz. After several years of singing together and releasing two albums, the group parted ways in 2004. Ever since 2Baba has released several singles, albums and collaborations and has become a force to reckon with.
On May 2, 2012, 2Baba got married to his sweetheart Annie Macaulay in a private ceremony at the Ikoyi Registry and on March 8, 2013, staged their traditional wedding in Akwa-Ibom state. Finally on Saturday, March 23, the couple had their white wedding in Dubai.
On Tuesday, September 18, the music star turned a year older and he took to his Instagram handle to celebrate his 43rd birthday. He shared his photo with the caption: “Birthday guy I hail ooo! Another happy New year moment. Bless up. HBD innocent.”
