Davido appeals to President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in Osun governorship election, fan says he is desperate

Popular musician Davido has been participating rather actively in the ongoing Osun state election. His several rounds of tweets and captions show that he is advocating for not just a free and fair governorship election, but for democracy as a whole.

In his bid to advance his plea for an election in Osun that will project the will of the people, Davido called for the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari to look into the ongoing proceedings and decide on the right thing.

He made this call in a Twitter post where he lauded the president as a man of integrity. He said:

“You are a man of Integrity sir please do the right thing !! @MBuhari …. @inecnigeria @IsiakaAdeleke1 !! The People have spoken!! ”

Apparently, he wants the number one citizen of the country to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from announcing a re-run with regards to the current Osun governorship election.

This was made quite clear by the preceding tweets where he first accused INEC of wanting to declare polls inconclusive and then wrote lengthy arguments about his view on the current state of affairs in the election.

In a particular post, Davido vehemently stated that he and other supporters were ready to go all out to ensure that Senator Adeleke, his uncle, gets what is rightfully his.

The Nwa Baby crooner then went on to request that the results of the poll be released with immediate effects. This was followed by a summation of the present problems experienced by the people of Osun and the fact that if granted the chance, Senator Adeleke will alleviate them of the problems.

However, some fans could not come to grasp with the fact that the current president of Nigeria was called a man of integrity. They stated their disapproval in a comment to the entertainer.

Given all his vehement tweets, comments and active participation in the ongoing election, a fan has taken to saying that the singer is simply desperate for his uncle to win. Davido replied this fan in the affirmative, saying he is desperate for democracy. This comment, however, has received a lot of rebuttals from other Nigerian Twitter users who did not support the claim.
