Davido‘s political support for his uncle Senator Adeleke can almost be said to be the first of its kind in the Nigerian music scene. While many people have come to respect the artist for this show of solidarity, some of his fans are not pleased with the fact that he is playing ‘family politics’.
One of such fans is known as Masi Richard on Twitter. This man who appears to dislike the political efforts of the musician could not help but voice out his opinion on social media.
Hence, he took to Davido’s page to leave a comment for the 25-year-old singer. The statement he said was a response to one of the musician’s recent tweets. In the post, the artist had decried an attempt on the part of the All Progressives Congress to rig the Osun state re-run election coming up on Thursday, September 27.
To support his claim, Davido shared a statistical image which he insisted was allegedly incorrect. It was in light of this post that the fan dropped a comment. According to Masi, the award-winning artist was being way too sympathetic with his uncle.
Even more, the fan strongly suggested that Davido should reduce the tempo of his support or face the consequence of being in a sorry, unpleasant situation.

It would seem that Davido was very upset about this comment as seen in the reply he gave to the fan.

Masi is not the first to express displeasure at Davido’s massive input in helping his uncle win the Osun gubernatorial election. As reported by NAIJ, a particular fan had also told the singer to stay away from politics and all it is worth.
However, the singer has also accumulated a huge fan base who support him on his supposed quest for democracy and a free, fair election. Popular political personalities Ben Bruce and Reno Omokri come foremost in his list of supporters.
