Just when many thought that the event was only going to be graced by several politicians and people in the realm of politics, a celebrity from the Nigerian entertainment scene pulled through in the person of Odunlade Adekola.
Odunlade who attended the auspicious occasion took to his Instagram page to share a photo of himself at Ekiti Parapo Pavilion where the event held.
The popular Nollywood actor watched as Kayode Fayemi and his deputy Chief Bisi Egbeyemi were sworn in by the state’s chief judge at an event which started around 11am.
During the proceedings, the award-winning actor known for being a typical character used in memes and funny pictures shared a caption that captured his excitement at witnessing yet another governor gettting sworn in as Ekiti state’s governor.

“At the inauguration of Dr. John Kayode Fayemi as the new governor of Ekiti State.”
Due to his participation at the event, a controversy arose amongst his fans. A particular follower identified as @ayoolaayoola of the actor was of the opinion that the popularly known celebrity should not have attended the event due to his well known status.
This opinion was however shouted down by other fans who insisted that Odunlade had the right to choose his associations and where he goes to. See some of their comments below:

In the meanwhile, NAN reported that Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti state, gave a reason why he did not attend the inauguration ceremony swearing in Fayose as the new leader. According to him, he wanted to avoid the intimidation and harassment that might be meted out by fellow politicians.
