Children of Nigerian politicians, billionaires and top socialites have been reported to be schooling abroad. These rich individuals send their kids abroad in order to avoid the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) strike or any form of violence going on in tertiary institutions.
It has just been reported that Senator Victor Umeh’s son recently graduated from the University of the West of England, Bristol in the United Kingdom (UK).
The young man, who was identified as Ikechukwu Chijindu Umeh, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He studied business management and economics. He reportedly had his primary education in Nigeria before going to the UK for further his studies.
According to Chizoba Diamond Ejiofor who shared Ikechukwu’s graduation pictures on Facebook, he added that the ceremony took place on Monday, November 26, and is currently studying accounting and finance for his MSc.
His post reads:
“Ikechukwu Umeh Bags Bachelor’s Degree. Mr Ikechukwu Chijindu Umeh, the son of Most Distinguished Senator (Dr) Victor Umeh on Monday 26th November 2018 bagged a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Business Management and Economics from the University of the West of England, Bristol, United Kingdom. The Brilliant Ikechukwu Umeh did his Primary and Secondary Education in Nigeria before proceeding to United Kingdom for his Tertiary Studies. He is currently an MSc Student of Accounting and Finance in the United Kingdom. Congratulations to Ikechukwu Chijindu Umeh.”

However, Senator Umeh has received other congratulatory messages on his Facebook profile.
