The ‘Bam Bam’ singer, born Inetimi Alfred Odon, said he believes there’s room for all to succeed, “if someone like me who used to be a plantain seller can be successful”.
Timaya gave the motivational talk on the sidelines of the Hennessy Artistry music concert.
He urged the youth to believe in themselves and remain passionate about their goals.
“I want to say here that everyone can be successful, if someone like me who used to be a plantain seller can be successful, then why not everybody,” the singer said.
“The youths need to believe in themselves because if they don’t, who will believe them. I want to advice youths to make money before friends.
“If the youths make money first, then the friends will automatically come; but there won’t be a friend without money.
“I want to thank all Nigerian fans who supported me to be what I am today, I will be forever grated.”
