A man who stabbed his younger brother to death during a fight over dog meat by 7:45pm yesterday in Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District of the Northern Region, Ghana, has been apprehended.
The incident occurred at dog meat ritual for their late father. Eyewitnesses disclosed that the two brothers Nwenle Takia (52) and Bignani Takia (50), began the fight over a small goat and cooked dog meat, after the sacrifice to their late father was performed.
The fight took a different twist after Nwenle pulled a knife and stabbed his younger brother on the left armpit, upper top of his left breast and his testis.
Nwenle Takia is said to be in police custody, and the body of his younger brother which was sent to the Faith Community hospital- Nakpanduri where post- mortem examination was performed, has since been released to the family for burial.
