Missing Argentine striker Emiliano Sala sent chilling audio messages to friends revealing that the plane he was travelling with ‘looks like it’s about to fall apart’ before it disappeared off the radar.

Sala who just signed for Cardiff City from Nantes is presumed dead after his flight disappeared off the radar just an hour after taking off from the Nantes Atlantique Channel on Monday, January 21.

The Argentine was on his way to Cardiff City to resume training on Tuesday morning after signing a club record deal worth £15m.

While the search for the missing plane continues, chilling audio messages he sent to friends have emerged.

‘Looks like it’s about to fall apart’

Argentine website Ole.com posted the audio messages which it claimed were sent to a WhatsApp group of fellow players and friends.

“Hello, little brothers, how are you, crazy people? Brother, I’m really tired, I was here in Nantes doing things, things, things, things and things, and it never stops, it never stops, it never stops,” he says.

“I’m here on a plane that looks like it’s about to fall apart, and I’m going to Cardiff, crazy, tomorrow we already start, and in the afternoon we start training, boys, in my new team.”

Later he sent another message which says; “How are you guys, all good? If you do not have any more news from in an hour and a half, I don’t know if they need to send someone to find me… I am getting scared!”

It is also being reported that the striker text a couple of friends to say that the plane was making ‘weird noises’. The plane also had difficulties taking off, several reports also said.

It has also emerged that the 28-year-old had concerns about the plane before boarding the flight on Monday evening.

It was the same plane he travelled with from Cardiff to France on Sunday after signing for the Premier League side.

The striker had gone back to France to say his farewell to his friends and teammates.

After the flight back to France, the striker complained about the flight being bumpy.

The 28-year-old striker had travelled in the same plane from Cardiff back to France on Sunday and complained about that flight being ‘bumpy’.

Nantes’ training ground was in a sombre mood on Tuesday morning as his former teammates were stunned at the development.

Supporters of the French club held a vigil in the city centre on Tuesday night to pay tribute to Sala.

Cardiff City also cancelled training on Tuesday as they await news of the plane.
