Nigerian musical acts have managed to prove to the world that the possibilities of African music have no boundary. Celebrated singer Davido held his first concert of the year on January 27, and mixed reactions have trailed the singer’s performance at the concert.
Superstar singer Davido recently made history as he joined a short and growing list of African musical acts to sell out the legendary O2 Arena in London. The Nigerian act recently held his musical concert which was tagged Davido Live at The O2 in London with a host of his 30 Billion Gang crew like Dremo, Peruzzi and Mayorkun in attendance.
He had previously taken to his Instagram page to reveal that the show had been sold out. The announcement had increased the anticipation for the event as many had looked forward to what to expect from the musical act.
The excited singer did not fail to give everyone that attended the concert a good show for their money. His eclectic performance instantly gathered mixed reactions on popular social media platform, Twitter, with the singer trending with over 40,000 users talking about it.
Social media users from Nigeria, London, and some other parts of the world were of full of excitement for Davido’s performance as they shared photos and video clips from the concert. The singer received hundreds of praises for putting up a dope performance that reaffirmed his status as one of Nigeria’s biggest musical talent.

One of the highlights of the concert was when international actor, Idris Elba, introduced Davido on stage. He described him as one of the biggest acts out of Africa.

It would be recalled that singer Wizkid, had been the first Nigerian act to sell out the legendary event ground in London. His show had been attended by thousands of fans who had always wanted to get a good show with Soco crooner.
