Ahead of the upcoming 2019 general elections in Nigeria, a number of celebrities and public figures have taken to their respective social media platforms to sensitize their fans and followers to perform their civic responsibility.
Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke mostly known by many as Davido, has been among those who have been very vocal as regards this year’s election.
It was previously gathered the report of how he had apologized to a young lady who had taken to micro-blogging platform Twitter, to express some unpleasant views about the his level of involvement in politics. The lady had claimed that he had sold his soul.
In spite of the backlash from many, the Assurance crooner is not letting anyone’s view stop him from using his platform to charge people to do the right thing.
Ahead of the Saturday 22, February, 2019, elections, he took to his Instagram story with a post in which he charged everyone to go and carry out their civic responsibilities.
He also added that going out to vote would prove that the country truly belongs to the citizens.
