Ebonyi state government under the leadership of Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi today at EXCO Chambers with the stakeholders of the communities involved, acquired the land in dispute between Enyigbichiri in Ikwo LGA and Enyigba in Abakaliki LGA.

In agreement between the stakeholders of the communities and Ebonyi state government, the land was revoked and acquired by Ebonyi State and in turn, graciously donated part of the land to Enyigbichiri in Ikwo and Enyigba in Abakaliki LGA’s as a way of bringing permanent peace in the land.

In a remark by the governor, he maintained that the killing of the family of six in a bus must be avenged and so, he mandated the stakeholders to pinpoint those who are involved in the dastardly act to enable law take it full cause on them.

The stakeholders in separate remarks regretted whatsoever thing that may have resulted in the shedding of their blood, explaining that it is an abomination that has occurred in the land as Ikwo and Abakaliki are brothers and are not supposed to shed each other blood.
