In fact every track on Burna Boy’s collection is hit. Burna Boy bagged series of awards in 2018 in the same categories listing and outshining Davido and Wizkid. Burna Boy won the 2018 artist of the year in Soundcity MVP Award Night. Definitely he’s heading for MTV African artist of the year too.

In recent times, Davido and Wizkid have been the Ronaldo and Messi of Nigerian music, but it seems Burna Boy is about to step into their level. In 2018, Burna Boy stood at number one spot on MTV NAIJA TOP 10, with his hit song Gbona through the quarter of last year till date. He’s been on that spot back to back.

Burna boy and crew

Burna Boy first single of 2019 immediately climbed to number one spot ahead of his own Killin’ Dem Burna Boy which was at number one spot. The jam got a lot vibes thanks to Zlatan. Dangote has been the street anthem ever since it release.

With this trends and consistency, one would boldly say he’s now on the same level with Davido and Wizkid. He could be rated above them very soon with a lot of international collaboration coming up soon. And the announcement of his African Giant Album coming soon will cause another trend with the reviews coming through from the already concluded listening party.
