Since Mavin Records unveiled Divine Ikubor also known as ‘Rema’, his confidence in the media space seems like what we’ve not seen before in the music industry. This young lad is full of poise.
The teen musician spoke with Goldmyne TV in a recent interview, saying he’s in the industry to take over and crowned himself the new king.
Rema also made it known that he’s ready to organize a big concert for himself and he’ll to shut it down. This he revealed after his debut performance as Mavin Records singer at the 2019 edition of Homecoming festival which held in Lagos.
“More hit songs are coming. Me and D’Prince, ‘Lavida‘ is coming soon. My own concert is coming soon, it’s big and I’m going to shut it down. I’m here to take over, I’m the new king,” he said.
In the event of Rema’s signing, D’Prince, Don Jazzy’s younger brother and CEO of Jonzing World known for discovering young artistes, said:
“When I first heard Rema’s work I knew this was an artist I wanted the entire world listening to; his talent and artistry are so far beyond his years.”
Just like D’Prince, Mavin Records boss and super producer Don Jazzy added his voice, described the fresh talent as a formidable young artiste whose skills and versatility would definitely gain a unique place in the future of Afrobeats.
About a month ago, Rema dropped his debut EP titled after himself, ‘Rema’ as his official introductory compilation of songs.
