Three Nigerian musicians, Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi and Teni, have been nominated for the 2019 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
Burna Boy and Mr. Eazi are contenders for the category of ‘Best International Act’, alongside South African rapper AKA; French artistes Aya Nakamura and Dosseh; and two musicians, Giggs and Dave from the United Kingdom.
Entertainer Teni, who is currently enjoying her growth in the music industry also got a nod in the ‘Best New International Act’ category of the awards.
The 2019 BET awards show is slated for June 23 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
BET Awards were established in 2001 to celebrate African Americans and other American minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.
