EFCC Finds Foreigner's Credit Cards With Naira Marley

The fraud case of Azeez Fashola, popularly known by his stage name, Naira Marley, has been adjourned till may 30, 2019.

Today, the burgeoning musician appeared before the Federal High Court in Lagos, where he pleaded not guilty to all 11 charges bordering on fraud and cybercrime.

Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Court sitting in Lagos ordered  the remand in prison of  Naira Marley.

On May 30, the singer’s bail application proceeding would be heard to determine if he’d be out of EFCC’s custody until judgement is served on a later date.

According to the EFCC, some of the items recovered from the embattled rapper Naira Marley which were presented as exhibits include; credit cards which bore the names- Nicole Louise Malyon, and Timea Fedorne Tatar.

If found guilty by the anti-graft agency, the rapper risks a seven-year jail term according to Section 33 (2) of the Nigerian law which states that: “Any person who uses: a counterfeit access device; an unauthorised access device; an access device issued to another person; resulting in a loss or gain commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than seven years or a fine of not more than N5,000,000.00 and forfeiture of the advantage or value derived from his act.”

Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibile who was arrest alongside with Naira Marley has ‘moved on’ with his music career shortly after his release on 15th of May.

Zlatan dropped a new single titled ‘4 NIGHTST IN EKOHTIEBO‘ on the 18th of May. In the track, the singer recounted is ordeal in EFCC custody, throws shades at his friend who mocked him during his ordeal.
