Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11 who took another shot at marriage in 2018 when he married Queen Naomi, will also lead a delegation to seek the hands of another pretty society girl, Funmi Onabamiro in marriage to his elder brother, Prince Abimbola Adegboyega Ogunwusi.
Prince Adegboyega holds the revered title of the Sooko Laekun of Ile-Ife. This title confers on him, the responsibilities of coordinating the princes of Ile-Ife, and serving as the right hand man of the Ooni.
Prince Adegboyega, who is a top business man with interests in diverse sectors, among which include property, construction, farming and mining, is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan.
“Funmi Onabamiro is so excited! She can’t wait to be married to the amiable Ile-Ife Prince. The duo have been enjoying a solid affair for over five years. In fact, the two are smitten with each other and are always in each other’s company,” disclosed some of the bride-to-be’s friends.
A graduate of the University of Lagos, Funmi is one of Shade Okoya’s best friends and they have come a long way.
Though married, Prince Adegboyega has always being a private individual with his nuclear family. His first wife doesn’t embrace publicity or seek media attention.
Sources disclosed exclusively to Kemiashefonlovehaven that the handsome prince and Funmi launched an impressive outing during the coronation of Ooni Ogunwusi in December 2015 after which the two lovers kept their affair on a low-profile scale.
However, the recent birthday celebration of Prince Ogunwusi, afforded Funmi with the opportunity to make public their affair. The party-loving lady literarily bombarded social media platforms with pictures from the pre and post birthday celebration.
Kemiashefonlovehaven gathered that the get-together was hosted by Funmi at her lover’s expansive home in Victoria Garden City, VGC, Ajah. The party had a few of the couple’s close friends in attendance.
With the recent hosting of the birthday party, Funmi has become more relaxed and more assured of the fact that her days as a single lady are numbered. She has confided in some of her friends that the Ogunwusi family will soon come to ask for her hands in marriage.
The second of four children, Funmi Onabamiro is a lone parent to a 10-year old boy, Fuhad Oriyomi Salawu.
Insiders disclosed to KALH that Fuhad, is a product of her affair with Yusuf Salawu, the younger brother of Abdulhameed Salawu, the chairman of Shomolu Local Government. Funmi once worked in Globacom Telecommunication for many years before resigning to set up a private business. She currently runs Praiseville Estate, an event centre, located in Ogudu GRA Phase 2, Lagos.
