A pastor, Egbunu Vicent Onuche, 25, has been arrested by the police in Abuja over employment racketeering after he duped one Ijeoma Ebenje of N200,000, with a promise of employment with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
According to the senior pastor of Spirit Embassy church located in Gwagwalada, he met one Alhaji Sanusi Musa sometime back, who told him that he can assist if he had anybody looking for employment.
Vincent then informed his friend Ekene, Ijeoma’s brother, who then told her about the offer. The sum of N200,000nwas required from her which she paid and even got a confirmation email from the fraudster-created Immigration e-mail address.
The pastor also admitted that 16 other people also paid him the sums ranging from N200,000 to N300, 000 for employment into the Nigeria Prison Service and placement into the Nigeria Immigration Service before the arrest.
This is coming after a pastor in Enugu allegedly impregnated 20 members of his church. Reports by church members say the pastor claimed that the Holy Spirit commanded him to impregnate as many female members of the church as possible.
The Enugu state Police spokesperson, Ebere Amaraizu, who spoke on the incident said the pastor had been charged for sexual abuse.
Sources revealed that Ngwu said the Holy spirit had given him the mandate to impregnate women in his ministry irrespective of their marital status.
They added that the child delivered by every woman impregnated by the pastor is expected to remain in the ministry with the mother for life.
