The peace meeting comes after Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were arrested by the police on the 19th of May after a brawl broke out at the 20th anniversary of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The fight started when Shatta Wale and his team stormed the stage shortly after Stonebwoy was announced the winner of ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.’ During the clash between the pair and their camps, Stonebwoy was filmed pulling out a gun on stage.
The two artistes who were later released, appeared in court. Shatta Wale pleaded not guilty to Offensive Conduct to Breaches of the Peace following the scuffle at the Awards. While Stonebwoy pleaded not guilty to an additional charge of Display of a Weapon in a Public Place without permission.
After the hearing, they were granted bail of ¢50,000 each with one surety and cautioned to be of good behaviour until the determination of the case.
They will re-appear in court on June 20.
Following the clash, the artistes were stripped of all the awards they won at the 20th edition of the Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) They were also banned indefinitely by the organisers, Charterhouse.
