20-year-old Lil Nas X, born Montero Lamar Hill explaining how he was able to independently promote ‘Old Town Road’ featuring Billy Cyrus to the global audience with the aid of social media, said “I first started with a tweet and it was already having some momentum. And then … over the course of a few months, I would just [put] it into memes and kind of forcing it into the Internet, in a way … it started to catch on.” He added that he also adopted video sharing platform Tik Tok to further push the song.
Seyi became accepted in the music industry in 2016, after she jumped on Mr. Eazi’s acclaimed track ‘Skin Tight’. This got her a performance next to the Banku creator at an event in Leicester and at his first ever London show. The talented artiste also graced the stage at Tiwa Savage’s debut headline show at London’s O2 Arena.
Seyi effortlessly plays the piano, electric guitar and bass guitar, all these have put her at the forefront of her career and it’s not coming as a surprise that the country rapper enlisted her for a collaboration. This is projected to be a win-win situation for both artistes.
