Air Peace Spokesman, Chris Iwarah, Killed by Commercial Bus Driver

The deceased, Iwara

The media world has lost one of its greats, with the reported death of Christian Ejiroghene Iwarah, a journalist and lawyer in one of the most bizarre and painful circumstances.
Iwarah, who had worked in some media houses, including The Sun and Daily Independent, was the spokesman of Air Peace, one of Nigeria’s leading airlines, owned by business mogul Allen Onyema.
The quiet, accessible and highly intelligent, the handsome graduate of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, was said to have lost his life on Friday, June 7, 2019, while returning from work.

Information gleaned from eyewitnesses, said the promising young man had come down from his car that developed a fault on his way back from work, and was trying to fix the problem when he was knocked down by a speeding commercial bus, known as Danfo and notorious for their recklessness.

Unfortunately, the deceased died before he could be taken to hospital for medical help, according to further information on the incident, which has gone viral on the social media, as his friends and colleagues in the media and elsewhere express deep shock and sorrow.

Many have since taken to the deceased Facebook page to pour out their grief, while others have taken to their individual platforms and pages, to spread the story as well as mourn him.
