Yemi Alade, Burna Boy offer support to victims of Sudan crisis

Musicians, Yemi Alade and Burna Boy, have pledged support for Sudanese amidst crisis in the North African country.

Yemi Alade, 30, posted a message of support on Instagram on Thursday.

“We stand with #SUDAN ,at this difficult time and we pray for Peace, healing and Love. In #Nigeria also we should not forget what is happening in the North, so many lives lost over the Vanities of the world. Human life is Priority, PEACE and LOVE is the ONLY WAY. ??????,” she wrote.

Burna Boy, also pledged to help agencies providing medical aid to the country.

“I STAND WITH SUDAN! ?? … we can’t be silent when our brothers and sisters are being oppressed. Any organisations involved in providing medical aid in Sudan pls hit me up ??,” he wrote.

Since the ousting of long-term ruler, Omar Bashir, the country has been on the edge of a violent revolution.

In the last 10 days, at least 124 people have been killed by regime forces and more than 700 have been injured as protests have steadily engulfed the capital city, Khartoum.
