Anthony Edet Offiong, popularly known as Thin Tall Tony (TTT), has signed new deal as an ambassador with Osun Cultural Carnival – a projected biggest cultural event in Africa.
The ex-BBNaija housemate was unveiled by the organiser of the Osun Cultural Carnival as one of the ambassadors for the festival slated to hold on August 17, 2019, at the Osun Stadium. Thin Tall Tony was said to have attracted the organiser of the event, ‘Our Heritage Branding & Advertising LTD’ due to his expertise in arts and culture.
Applauding Thin Tall Tony’s credibility, the director of Osun Cultural Carnival, said; “We believe Thin Tall Tony is a good representation of the Nigerian cultural values and he possesses what it takes to be a good ambassador, aside the fact that he has never stopped showcasing himself as a true and decent Nigerian, we are optimistic about our partnership.”
Speaking further about the controversy that may erupt from naming Thin Tall Tony who hails from Cross River, a state in South South Nigeria, which is different from Osun that is an inland state in South Western, the director of the event clarified that, “Osun Cultural Carnival is also a means of unifying all Nigerians, Africans and others from the world at large, irrespective of their cultural backgrounds.”
Elated Thin Tall Tony couldn’t curtail his excitements when he commented about his new deal with Osun Cultural Carnival, the handsome looking dancer and bundle of talent said, “Being on this platform is a major exhilaration for me. The culture of Nigeria is very rich and deserves maximum attention all over the world.”
He also stressed the importance of unity among Nigerians, adding his voice to the director of event’s view, Thin Tall Tony opined; “it is important all Nigerians see ourselves as one, this is the only way to conquer all forms of conflict that may want to erupt from our ethnic diversity. With unity, we can build the Nigeria of our dream.”
2019 Osun Cultural Carnival is themed ‘Connect With The Richness’ and will be one of the biggest cultural events in Africa, where both young and old, white or black can all gather together to learn, get entertained and celebrate the richness of the Osun Heritage and culture.
