Nigerian Athlete and NCAA 100 meters and 200 meters Champion Divine Oduduru has bagged new PUMA Endorsement deal. Divine took to his social media page to announce the new deal with Sports brand PUMA.
Divine Oduduru is a Nigerian sprinter specializing in 100 and 200 meters of race. He is a five-time African Junior Champion and was the 2014 World Junior Silver Medalist in 200 meters. He was the gold medalist in both the 100 meters and 200 meters at the 2013 African Youth Athletics Championship.
However, he perhaps remained, at least till more recently, best known amongst Athletics fans for his entertaining and candid post-race interviews during the 2013 World U18 Championships, back when he was only 16-years old. At the time, the charismatic Nigerian sprinter became a YouTube sensation of sorts, having told a journalist following the semifinals of the Boys’ 200m, that the 200m final would be “a deadly day.”
Now, however, after his latest results at NCAA Champs, rather than being best known for his outgoing personality, the 22-year old has set himself up as one of the names to look out for at the upcoming IAAF World Championships to be held later this year in Doha, Qatar.
Divine Oduduru, made his professional debut in the Diamond League in the 100 meters in Monaco today.
Recall some time in May WITHINNIGERIA reported a piece of news where Nigeria’s fastest runner of 2019, Divine Oduduru qualified for the finals of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA outdoor championships.
The Athlete finished 10.06 sec in the 100m to finish second overall behind Cravon Gillespie, who recorded 10.01 and 10.03, Oduduru secured his spot in the final come June.
