A track off the album, ‘Brown Skin Girl’ featuring Nigerian veteran singer, Wizkid, took a major spotlight and stood out amongst other songs housed on the studio effort. The song also featured Beyonce’s seven years old daughter, Blue Ivy and Guyanese rapper SAINt JHN.
The song which has since been trending across all social media platforms since the release of ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ album on July 19, 2019, over the weekend, had fans put a challenge on the song using #BrownSkinGirlChallenge hashtag, with them sharing their images with inspiring comments to praise brown-skinned women.
Celebrities like Lupita Nyong’o, and many others participated in the worldwide challenge of the empowering song for brown-skinned women.

Beyonce is known for her creative and iconic approach of making her fans fall in love with her over and over, she did similar magic with ‘Flawless’, ‘Run The World (Girls) and ‘Lemonade’.
‘The Lion King: The Gift’ album featured the likes of Shatta Wale, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Tekno, Mr. Eazi and other African mega stars. Beyonce dubbed the album “a Love Letter to Africa”.
