A battle of tears and season of sorrowful tale it was; as friends, colleagues and relatives of Precious, late Channels TV corps member who was shot dead during the exchange of gunshots between the Shiites group and Nigeria Police was finally laid down to rest.
Funeral service of the late Precious Owolabi, the Channels Television Reporter has commenced at the Wusasa cemetery, Zaria. Owolabi is being given a befitting burial by the management of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and Channels Television.
As the corpse was brought to the cemetery, by members of the NYSC corps, they sang the NYSC anthem to bid him farewell.
Within Nigeria had earlier reported that a deputy commissioner of police and late Channels TV corps member were victims of stray bullets and others sustained severe injuries during Free Ibrahim Zakzaky protest in Abuja.
Ibrahim Zakzaky is the leader of Shiites group in Nigeria and he has been detained by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for years. Members of the group protested for the release of their leader after court orders of release have been jumped numbers of times by the presidency.
