Abike Dabiri, the Chairman of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission, has just revealed that the South African Police is going to be sued over the assault on a Nigerian resident in the Southern African country.
Tayo Faniran who is a Nigerian residing in South Africa suffered brutal assault at the hands of some South African Policemen. An Instagram live video that was shared online showed Faniran, a former Big Brother Africa contestant being assaulted upon arrest because he refused to enter an unmarked police vehicle.
The news quickly went viral, with Dabiri getting hold of the news. She then gave a report about the release of Faniran as she said that she was going to make sure that justice was served in this case.
Abike Dabiri has now as promised, come out to give an update on the matter. She revealed that the South African police are facing a suit as a case of brutality is being filed against them.

The Chairman of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission has received commendation from may quarter for actively taking up this matter and her role in trying to change the way the Nigerians are being treated outside their borders.
Some however used the opportunity to speak about the perceived ills happening in the country as well.
