Nollywood actor Aremu Afolayan celebrated his birthday recently. The veteran actor shared a post on his Instagram page to mark his big day. In the post, he wrote a lengthy caption in which he thanked all those who have contributed to his success over time.
He thanked his mother, friends and singer Tope Alabi for their support and love. One would expect him to also mention his celebrity brothers, one of which is famous Nollywood director Kunle Afolayan. But he did not. Instead, he subtly shaded them by referring to them as scammers who used him.
Aremu also opened up about the bitter experiences he had during his childhood years. According to him, he used to live with call girls and sell pepper soup for his mother. Then, he also lived in a house built with planks.
The Nollywood actor also narrated how he once took the little money he and his mother so as to feed other poor kids.
According to him, his mom beat him severely for doing this but she also praised him. For loving him unconditionally throughout their years of poverty, Aremu thanked his mother profusely.
