Pastor Obafemi Banigbe, a member of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly Board of Trustees has tendered his resignation letter with immediate effect for personal reasons.
In a letter dated July 19th, addressed to Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo and made available to the public, Obafemi Banigbe announced his exit as a member of Church’s Board of Trustees.
Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo who was accused of rape by Busola Dakolo, the wife of the popular singer, Timi Dakolo in a viral interview that garned the attention and reaction of Nigerians on social media before he was charged to court by the Dakolos.
Pastor Banigbe is the first member of the church’s board to tender a public resignation from the ministry, after Pastor Fatoyinbo stepped down on a leave of absence amidst immense pressure mounted on him by Nigerians.
