Nigerians have lambasted the Federal Government after it threatened to make popular musicians, Augustine Kelechi, better known as Tekno a scapegoat, following his recent video shoot in Lagos – where he paraded half-naked women in a van.
The singer had since release video to the song, Agege.
But in a statement by Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture, Segun Runsewe, the federal government declared Tekno would be made a scapegoat “to teach others a serious lesson.”
The statement further revealed security agencies will be briefed to place Tekno on their watch list, “because his conduct is a threat to national security.”
Reacting, some Nigerians on social media called it misplacement of priorities on the part of the federal government.
