A$Ap Rocky Speaks On Swedish Assault Case Verdict That Finds Him Guilty

American rapper A$Ap Rocky isn’t pleased by the verdict in his Swedish assault case. The wordsmith says he’s ‘disappointed.’

Yesterday Wednesday, the judge in charge the case found the musician guilty of misdemeanor assault charges. He ruled that Rocky won’t be returning to jail, as he had already spent five weeks behind bars in Stockholm.

The rapper and his two associates involved in a street fight in the city have been ordered to pay the victim, Mustafa Jafari, over $22,000 in restitution and legal fees.

Reacting to the ruling, Rocky, on his Instagram page, expressed his disappointment, saying; “I AM OF COURSE DISAPPOINTED BY TODAY’S VERDICT.

“I WANT TO SAY THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF MY FANS, FRIENDS, AND EVERYONE WHO SHOWED ME LOVE DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME. IMMA KEEP MOVING FORWARD.

“THANK YOU TO MY TEAM, MY MANAGEMENT, ATTORNEYS, LABEL AND EVERYONE WHO ADVOCATED FOR JUSTICE.”

Rocky was granted bail at the beginning of August after he spent over a month behind bars in Stockholm. Prior this final judgement, the rapper maintained he and his associates were acting in self-defense when their alleged victim attacked a bodyguard.

Rocky flew back to the U.S., where he awaited a verdict in the case and sentencing, which was concluded on August 14, 2019.
