Ekiti State Police Command have arrested and paraded a 39-year-old tenant identified as Tunmise Abraham for allegedly raping and killing his landlady, Mrs Bukola Olanrewaju in Ado Ekiti, capital of Ekiti state.
The suspect who hit a 38-year-old tailor and mother of three with a stick out of anger but insisted that he did not kill her intentionally. The murder suspect accused the late Bukola as an oppressor who always taunt him as a stammerer and mad person.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Amba Asuquo told Newsmen while parading the suspect that the suspect was arrested in Akure where he fled to after killing his landlady.
“The suspect overpowered the deceased by forcefully collecting from her the stick she was holding and using it to beat her on the head, which resulted into a serious head injury, he said.
“He further found a rope which he used to tie up the hands of the woman, who was later found dead in a pool of blood as a result of the head injury she sustained.”
