American actor, Brad Pitt opened up about going sober, and what he’s learned from spending more than a year in an all-male Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) group.
In an interview with The New York Times, the 55-year-old revealed he worked on cutting off his drinking habits after he and his wife, Angelina Jolie separated.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got married in 2014 after being romantically involved since 2006. However, they divorced in 2016 and they have 6 children.
“I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privilege,” Pitt said.
“You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself. It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself and there’s great value in that” he added.
