Tragedy struck in Edo community as a corps member and another person were killed in a reprisal cult clash that happened at Iyakpi near Auchi, the headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo state.
The sad incident happened on Sunday as the two; corps member identified as Irale Obas were killed at different locations in the community, following the earlier killing of one Sikiru Jeliu on Saturday night by a rival cult group.
Meanwhile, friends of the deceased have taken to social media to mourn his death. One wrote:
“I still can’t believe you are gone. May the gates of valhalla be open you, where the Brave shall live forever. RIP Obas Irale.”

“What another waste of a generation! My friend whom we were not just school mates but class mates back then in our secondary school days, to them life must be taking out of him not because of any other obvious reason but because he was a rival CULT MEMBER, pls folks I have been saying this time without numbers, let’s ensure we dissociate our self’s from any CULTISM related activities because the end result is always very pathetic! Atleast four people feared death while three other were severely injured on Wednesday during attacks by suspected cultists in the Lagos suburb.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Aiye and Eiye cults started their fight around 6:30am at L&K bus stop which later aggravated to Olopomeji and Akinjuomo streets in Lagos.
