The weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The executive meeting began around 11am at the Council chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Acting Head of Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan among others.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that President is expected to travel to South Africa as scheduled either at the end of the meeting or during the meeting.
As at the time of reportage, the meeting was still in progress and the president is still much around in the villa.
Meanwhile, the Presidency on Tuesday gave reasons why the President Muhammadu Buhari’s Social Investment Programmes (SIPs) are getting full fledge ministry status.
The SIPs have been under the office of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo since it started in 2016.
