A Federal High Court in Abuja has stood-down proceedings until around 1pm for ruling on the terrorism -related case brought against politician and activist, Omoyele Sowore and one other.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu announced the suspension of proceedings in the case after taking arguments from parties on the bail application by Sowore and his co-defendant, Olawale Adebayo Bakare (aka Mandate).
Before the suspension,Falana had insisted that there is nowhere it has been stated or shown that the first defend (Sowore) called for violence.
He further stated that the use of the word “revolution” has never been criminalised in Nigeria.
Femi Falana (SAN) argued for the defendants while Hassan Liman (SAN) led the prosecution’s legal team to argued against the bail application.
