Following the arrest of 94 suspected internet fraudsters at a night club in Osogbo, the club, Secret Underground has been sealed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
After the Sunday night raid of the club, clubs and hoteliers in the state capital have been complaining of low patronage, as most fun-seekers were careful about night crawling for fear of arrest by operatives of the commission.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that EFCC freed 13 out of 94 ‘Yahoo Boys’ arrested in the Osogbo nightclub.
A source closed to the management of the club confided in the medium that the owner of the club had been invited by the commission but refused to honour the invite.
According to the commission the club house is now under seal and locks until the commission concludes the investigation.
One of the staff of the Club house, who was arrested alongside other 94 suspects on Sunday said he was released on Monday after being interrogated by the commission and found out he was mere a worker at the club.
He disclosed that some who were found innocent among those arrested and can meet up with bail condition have since been released as others are still going through interrogation by the anti-graft agency.
He said all customers that came for merryment at the club house and some staff of the hotel were arrested by the officials of EFCC and taken to their Zonal Head office in Ibadan.
It was equally gathered that the officer of EFCC has moved all cars of customers to their office and the cars which could not be moved on Sunday to its Ibadan office had been moved on Tuesday.
The main entrance gate of the club house has so far been shut down by the commission with the inscription keep off EFCC Investigating while commercial activities remain grounded.
