Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that the hackers of his Facebook page have demanded $20,000 to restore the page.
Mr Fani-Kayode on Friday morning announced he had lost access to his Facebook page following the activities of hackers.
The former minister, who clocked 59 on Wednesday, said all his posts were deleted.
In a tweet on Friday afternoon, however, Fani-Kayode said he would not be yielding to the hackers’ demand.
“Emmanuel Owobor, @etranexx the admin of my verified Femi Fani-Kayode @Facebook public page whose account they used to hack it just told me that the hackers said if we pay them $20,000 they will restore the page. I told him to tell them to go to hell. I will not pay a penny!” he wrote.
