22years after construction, a basket shaped building located in the city of Newark, Ohio is set to be turned into 150-room hotel.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the building which formerly belonged to the wooden basket manufacturer, Longaberger Company was built in 1997 at the behest of the company’s founder Dave Longaberger for $32million would become a hotel soon.
According to reports, the company moved out of the property in 2016 and it closed in 2018. It now belongs to property developer Steve Coon and his business partner Bobby George.
The new owners plan to transform the seven-story, picnic-basket-shaped building into a luxury hotel with 150 rooms.
