Dear USOSAns,
Re: Viral Social Media Video at QC school gate on Nov 19 2019
Many of us may have seen and or discussed the viral social media video regarding the unfortunate incident that occurred at the Queen’s College school gate on November 19th, 2019.
QCOGA EXCO has sought feedback and obtaining very valuable inputs from QCOGA through the Chapter and Class Set Chairpersons, as well as former EXCO members. We appreciate all the feedback received.
Several views have been expressed on the actions in the video and the manner of handling. We are currently engaging the school authorities and will revert once we have a clear action plan agreed on.
In the meantime, in whatever forum this video is discussed, please communicate the fact that that the QCOGA EXCO is taking on this matter and that the video should no longer be shared to stem what is obviously negative publicity for QC.
If you have specific ideas on managing this situation better in the future, or examples of codes and protocols that the school may adopt in mentoring and coaching programs, kindly pass these on by email to pqcoga@gmail.com
Thank you for your interest in and support to QC and QCOGA.
Ayodele Onakoya
General Secretary
