A New York Strip club has offered to host Kanye West’s Sunday Service, if he is interested
Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club in New York City extended an offer to the Jesus Is King rapper to bring his Sunday Service to their establishment.
In both a tweet and an attached letter from Sapphire’s VP Andrew Zarian, the company explained why they’d love to have him and that they feel it makes sense because ‘Ye has “an affinity for adult entertainment.”
“We have extended an offer to @kanyewest to deliver his faith-filled concert in a new venue, to a new audience of Gentlemen’s Club entertainers, service staff & more,” the tweet from the club read. “We’d love to open the doors to our 39th street location in NYC & have him & his choir grace us with their presence.”
Previously, Kanye brought his Sunday Service to the Harris County Jail in Texas, Los Angeles concert venue The Forum and most recently, pastor Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston. Interestingly enough, ‘Ye used his time on the stage to claim that strip clubs were a form of sex trafficking. Needless to say, that didn’t stop the folks at Sapphire Gentleman’s Club from extending an invite to Kanye.
Yeezy also spoke in support of Osteen, who’s been met with controversy in recent times for not making his church available to Hurricane Harvey victims, among other perceived issues.
“There’s a lot of people in the Christian community that try to give Joel a hard time because when you turn on the radio, he just keeps telling you how good God is,” Kanye said.
