A Federal High Court, Abuja has Awarded N100,000 fine against SSS for playing hide-and-seem game with court process in the refusal to release Sowore and Bakare (Mandate) as ordered by court since last month.
Recall that the former Presidential candidate, Sowore was arrested by the State Security service (SSS) on August 3 ahead of his planned #RevolutionNow Protest, he has remained with the DSS since then despite serials of court orders which asked the Nigerian government to release him.
Also, on several occasions, court has threatened to jail the SSS boss over failure to release the Saharareporters Publisher.
Meanwhile, Ijeoma Ojukwu, a judge of the federal high court in Abuja, has awarded the sum of N100,000 against the Department of State Services (DSS) for disobeying an order for the release Omoyele Sowore, pro-democracy activist.
The judge said the DSS cannot constitute itself as parallel court of law.
She asked the DSS to release the activist within 24 hours.
