Nigerian veteran producer, Samklef has disclosed that the most stupid thing he has ever done on social media, was to fight Wizkid.

In 2014, Samklef who produced majority of the songs on Wizkid’s debut album, including ‘Don’t Dull’ & ‘Tease Me’ was angry at Wizkid “for letting fame get into his head.”

In a previous interview with blogger, Linda Ikeji, Samklef accused Wizkid of forgetting his roots. He said: ‘I’m not happy with Wizkid. I like his music, but I don’t like him as a person anymore. The reason I don’t like him anymore is, why do you go about spoiling other people’s business? I never spoiled your business, never came out to say anything bad about you for four years. So why would you go to an OAP and tell the OAP that the reason why you no longer work with me is because my beat is amateur. What does that mean? Those amateur beats was what brought you to limelight, was what made you meet the same Akon who first dropped ‘Don’t dull’ on your voice’. His fame took him away. He forgot where he was coming from. His person is very disgusting. There’s something we call the grace of God. Before Wizkid got to where he is today, somebody gave him a front line, somebody introduced him. He didn’t just come from anywhere.’

Reacting to the report, however, Wizkid via twitter said, all he had as response was continuous love for his else Producer.

He said:  “In Life, you meet some people you love as much as you love your blood..I have nothing but Love for Samklef. I have nothing to say about the things he said about me…(he was just in my house 2weeks ago) wow..you learn every day. I pray God continues to bless him and his family. Amen. Jah Bless.”

Not satisfied with Wizkid’s reaction, Samklet took to twitter again today and said:

“You call a 24 year-old-man a kid, wow. I was only paid 250k for Wizkid’s hit tracks, didn’t I try? I made no money from this dude. All I wanted was just a support for 4 years. He keeps posting me. They only love u when they need something from you then keep distance when they are making money. FAME WITHOUT FORTUNE IS DEPRESSION”

However, years later, the two settled their beef amicably and are now best of friends but Samklef is still remorseful about all the nasty things he said about the singer.

Samklef was recently asked by a fan on Twitter to say the most stupid thing he has ever done on social media. Samklef responded saying fighting with Wizkid was actually a very dumb move from him.
