Group of concerned Nigerians who watched the viral video of 23-year-old single mother who was trafficked and sold into slavery in Lebanon have traced the parents of the said lady.
Parents of the said lady have been linked with officials of National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and Immigration Service.
This was revealed in a statement credited to the group that was retrieved by WITHIN NIGERIA.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that A video of a 23-year-old single mother identified as Ajayi Omolola narrating her ordeals as a victim of human trafficking in Lebanon and how she was deceived has surfaced on the internet.
The group disclosed that they were able to trace the parents of the lady through the efforts of one Rev. Alade, former supervisor of Christian Association of Nigeria in the neighbourhood.
We took the parents to the office of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and Immigration Service where certain issues and actions to take were discussed, the group revealed.
Further update reveals that the NAPTIP officials have facilitated the arrest of the agent who was responsible for her ordeal.
