The Emir of Potiskum has said he trekked for about two hours in the bush for his safety during an attack that involved his convoy.
According to a report by The Nation, the Emir of Potiskum, His Royal Highness Alhaji Umaru Bubaram Ibn Wuriwa Bauya, has broken his silence on an attack by Boko Haram insurgents that left his four aides dead on Tuesday.
He said he had to trek for about two hours in the bush for his safety during an attack that involved his convoy along Kaduna Zaria road.
The Emir who returned to his Palace in Potiskum, Yobe State from the hospital in Kaduna where he underwent medical check-up, thanked Almighty Allah for sparing his life and other members of his convoy who survived the attack.
The monarch was however saddened by the death of four of his aides as well as one that is still missing.
The Royal father, who spoke with our correspondent in his palace at Potiskum, called on everybody to support the federal government on security measures.
