Controversial Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has stated that some Nollywood actresses are jealous of Mercy Johnson‘s new movie, Legend of Inikpi which recently premiered.

He made this known in a post he sent out via his official Instagram post on Tuesday, 21st January.

He wrote;

“This is so wrong, even if you are absent at the premiere of the legend of inikpi in #Naija, why can’t you support #MercyJohnson by posting the movie trailer or even #pictures of the movie on your #instagram or #twitter page? When is all this jealousy going to stop in #Nollywood? When are women ever going to start supporting each other in this industry? Congrats to my sister, Mercy Johnson Okojie, the legend of inikpi has allegedly been considered to be submitted for 2021 Oscar award nomination #wow, this is another great news. @mercyjohnsonokojie I am proud of you because you have changed the narrative with this #beautiful movie, i am the only popular #actor in #Nigeria that has ever gotten @chrissyteigen attention in #Hollywood and I hardly praise #movies in #Africa, but this epic #film of yours is indeed the #best Nigerian #cinema film that tells our #story without trying to copy.”
