Unknown gunmen suspected to be armed robbers have stormed and attacked two banks in Ile-Oluji, Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday evening.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that two prominent banks namely First Bank and Polaris Bank located at the central part of the community were affected by the robbery.
According to local reports, no fewer than four persons were allegedly killed in the robbery attack as gunmen shot sporadically throughout the operation.
The robbers reportedly gained access into the bank after using dynamite to bomb the security doors.
As at the time of filling this report, the names of people who were killed by the robbers have not been confirmed and two policemen attached to the banks were among the victims.
When contacted, the Police Spokesperson in Ondo State, CSP Femi Joseph said he was yet to be briefed.
